Dirt alarms are available as either pop up or pop up with thermal lockout to avoid cold start errors. Electric switches are also available in 2 formats, 3 pin hirschmann type or a low cost OEM grounding switch (preferred option)

The advantages of fitting standard elements instead of spin on cans are many fold. Future legislation will tighten up on the disposal of used elements. The single cartridge element can be crushed to reclaim the oil before disposal.
