![]() Contamination causes failures in fuel systems Failures are caused by contaminants in fuels. Even when no immediate failures occur, high contamination levels can sharply decrease operating efficiency. Contamination is defined as any substance which is foreign to a fluid system and damaging to its performance. Contamination can exist as a gas, liquid or solid. Solid contamination, generally referred to as particulate contamination, comes in all sizes and shapes and is normally abrasive. High contaminant levels accelerate component wear and decrease service life. Water is also a contaminant and needs to be effectively removed prior to use. ![]() Bespoke cleanup systems We can build special portable systems for cleaning all your salvaged fluids. Pictured here is a special system for Petrol, Diesels, Water Glycol and Engine / Gearbox oils. Please call or email us for a bespoke cleanup system quotation. ![]() ART-1 elements The ART range of off line filters these cellulose wound filter elements are excellent for off-line filtring performance. As well as removing large amounts of dirt (up to 2Kg per element) they can also remove large volumes of water simultaneously (up to 750mL per element) Our SDFC(P) elements are polypropylene and are for use on water glycol systems. Polypropylene elements will remove dirt and oil contamination from water glycol fluids. ART off-line filter specification overview
