The BD6000 is a revolutionary development in cleaning up your biodiesel. It removes both particulate and water contamination at the same time.
To make good, clean biodiesel, you need to remove any water and dirt from the manufacturing process. This has been a problem in biodiesel production up until now.
Filtertechnik have developed a filtration rig, the BD6000, that is hugely effective in removing both particulate and water at the same time resulting in clean and dry biodiesel. (see diagram showing where BD6000 fits into the production cycle)
Producing clean fuel within the EN14214 standard will ensure your engines will run for longer and potential warranty claims are neutralised.
The BD6000 is fitted with SDFC-K filters that are specifically designed to work with biodiesel. They can remove dirt down to 3 microns and up to 800mL of water per element. The BD6000 will filter up to 600L per hour. It is designed to work in a multi-pass off line situation ie. after washing the biodiesel and after adequate settling processes. The BD6000 is rated for continual use and can be left to filter the storage tank to allow the SDFC-K to really get to work! See the filter element demonstration...
The rig can be used to filter biodiesel or base oils before biodiesel production. Pre-filters can also be used if the pre-production oil is heavily contaminated. The use of pre-filters also helps to reduce the number of SDFC-K filters used in cleaning the oil and will help you keep your costs down. See the filter element demonstration...
The rig is also available with add on features of a particle counter to give you live particle counts and a water monitor which gives live parts per million readings (PPM) during the filtration process.
The BD6000 will give you confidence that the biodiesel you produce is clean and dry !

Additional filters (optional)
SSB1 (Optional) A 50 micron bag style pre-filter to remove large particulate contamination. Ideal for use if you are using the BD6000 for filtering the base oil and you suspect it is heavily contaminated. This filter takes low cost replacement elements and will leave the SDFC-K elements to work on the fine particulate and water removal aspect of the diesel cleanup.
SF64B100G04 (Optional) A 150 micron metal cleanable pre-filter to remove large particulate for filtering base oils you suspect are heavily contaminated.
PC9000 On-line particle counter (optional)
• Know the ISO cleanliness of your fluid before, during and after you filter.
• Know exactly when you have achieved your desired cleanliness during filtration.
• The On-line liquid particle counter captures real-time contamination and oil condition information.
• ISO Cleanliness levels are then displayed at 4,6,14 and 21 micron in accordance with the new ISO MTD standard.
• Watch in real time the particle counts come down as the SDFC-K elements get to work!
Water in diesel ppm display meter (optional)
• See the parts per million (PPM) of water in your biodiesel live on an LCD display. Calibrated for accuracy at the 200PPM EN14214 standard point.
• Watch in real time the PPM Count come down as the SDFC-K elements get to work!
DM100 Flow meter
• Flow meter 1.1/2" BSP in / out ports 10 to 100 L/min flowrate. Total dispensed and re-settable sub total.
