Magnesol Washing unit 1000 to 2,000L/hr

Details on Magnesol Wash units:

Magnesol Wash Diffuser

Simply add Magnesol powder to your unwashed biodiesel in a separate mixing tank and agitate. Best results are achieved when a closed biodiesel production reactor is used ie. where pressure and temperature are present thereby aiding the venting of methanol and allowing for a faster and more distinct separation of glycerol (see section below on wet vs dry reactors).

The Magnesol Wash Diffuser will then intensify the reaction process of the biodiesel with the Magnesol powder, allowing for quick and effective washes. Production volumes can now be increased eliminating any bottle-necks in your production process. Our single diffuser cell wash unit allows for 1000-2000 litres to be washed in 2 hours (after initial charging and depending on original condition of WVO). Multiple cell wash diffuser units are available on request.

The Magnesol Wash Diffuser is supplied complete with pump, connection hoses, safety shut-off valve and pressure indication.

The s ample above shows biodiesel after the wash process, before final polishing. Excellent cleanliness is already achieved at this point.

Basic operation principle:

Magnesol powder, once agitated in a mixing tank with the biodiesel , is compacted into the diffuser cell within the Wash Unit.

As the pressure within the Wash Diffuser increases, the wash reaction is intensified. Magnesol particulate and biodiesel fluid then react under pressure to ensure that all major contaminants are effectively removed. Temperature can also introduced if required as the Wash Diffuser has a temperature range of 50°C.   However, excellent results can still be achieved at ambient temperatures giving you a saving on your heating bill.

The fine tolerances and high performance filtration capabilities of the Wash Diffuser, offer the Magnesol particulate no escape route. This intense reaction now takes place as the biodiesel is washed.   The wash reaction reaches maximum intensity when the wash diffuser is fully charged.

By allowing for a gradual ingress of Magnesol particulate, the diffuser cell will fill up slowly with Magnesol powder, forming a filtrate. This filtrate will increase the impurity absorption process.   Failure to introduce the powder slowly will result in a crust forming on the top layer of the Magnesol and thereby only using a small percentage of the powder in the reaction process.

After the dry wash process, it is essential that all Magnesol particulate is removed effectively. Whereas the down-steam migration of particulate is minimal due to the high filtration performance of the diffuser cell within the wash unit, it is still important to filter the final product in order to ensure maximum cleanliness.
