Level sensors calculate the height of a liquid using different techniques and technologies, each with its benefits and strengths. Options include ratings, such as ATEX approval, and output signals, such as HART, Modbus, 4...20mA. We can offer a suitable solution for your application based on your requirements.
- Hydrostatic Pressure Level Sensors are probes that are submerged into the liquid. They calculate the fluid pressure level and therefore the depth and fluid level.
- Float level sensors, switches, and instrumentation use one or more floats to switch mechanically or electrically at required levels or for electrical output of the level, which is provided as standard signal outputs or interpreted by the connected instrumentation.
- Capacitive level probes use a metal probe and the container wall as the two poles of a capacitor, where the capacitance increases as the liquid level increases.
- Ultrasonic level meters are a non-contact approach which gauges the liquid's level using the time it takes to send and receive sound waves directed at the liquid's surface.
